JTW specialises in kiln-dried hardwoods native to the South-West of Western Australia. The most common species we stock are Marri, Jarrah, Blackbutt, Sheoak, Tuart and Salmon Gum. All our timber is air dried for a minimum of three years before it’s placed into our dehumidification kiln. Our kiln-drying process prevents slabs from warping/ developing cracks over time, plus it also kills insects, larvae or mould that may be deep inside the slab. All our slabs are machined flat on both sides, all that’s required is some light sanding and a few coats of finish!
